The Chicago Museum of Science and Industry proudly displays in the Great Hall rotunda, the "Spirit of Glen Ellyn" 1903 Wright Flyer Replica.

The machine is the first full replica of the 1903 Flyer to be certified by the FAA and flown this year, the 100th anniversary of manned, powered flight. The flight took place on October 14, 2003 at Clow International airport in Bolingbrook, Illinois. See photos.

The "Spirit of Glen Ellyn" is now on display at MSI. A magnificent site to be sure!
